Asbestos

As we know, asbestos is dangerous to health and can cause serious health problems. That is why the government has made it illegal to dispose of asbestos anywhere.

Waste can only be disposed of in facilities that are licensed and accepted by the environmental protection authority.

If you want to dispose of your asbestos waste, you can find full details of the landfill sites that accept this waste on the EPA website. However, it also lists which sites accept commercial waste and which sites accept household waste.

Before bringing your waste, check whether the business still accepts the waste or not. In addition, you can also check the cost of waste disposal. All of this information is available on the Victoria EPA’s asbestos webpage.

In accordance with the Asbestos Safety and Eradication Agency (ASEA) Act, you can now access the asbestos waste disposal area near your home. Simply type in your address, and the service will locate the asbestos removal facilities nearest to you.
